ScribeHold reads iPhone backup data on your own Windows PC and stores it in a local SQLite database. Message content, contact information, and attachments stay on your machine.

What stays on your PC

• Every message, attachment, and contact extracted from the iOS backup
• The full backup files produced by the Windows service
• The SQLite search index used by the app

What is sent off your PC

• Crash reports (anonymous, no message content) if you have telemetry enabled in Settings
• License validation requests to the Microsoft Store or our direct-download licensing endpoint, if applicable

What we never collect

• Message content of any kind
• Contact names, phone numbers, or email addresses from your messages
• Photos, videos, or any other attachments

Telemetry is opt-out and can be disabled at any time in Settings. Questions: privacy@scribehold.com.
